In March 2019, a trip to Medellín, Colombia changed everything. Over a cup poured by a passionate barista, our founder discovered the coffee flavor wheel — and saw how much care great cafes pour into every detail. The idea for Affogato Bean was born on that trip: be the quiet partner that helps independent shops look as good as their coffee tastes.

Meet Daisy
Daisy Espinoza is the face and operator of Affogato Bean. A UNC Chapel Hill economics grad based in North Carolina, she’s the one independent shops talk to directly. When she’s not helping a cafe get its packaging just right, she’s traveling, visiting coffee shops wherever she lands, or at home with her dog, Toby. The Medellín trip that started it all is still the lens she works through: sweat the details, stay refined, and let the shop be the star.
